United Way hosts “Over the Edge” rappelling event
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – United Way of Southeast Missouri hosted an “Over the Edge” event that featured rappelling from Southeast Missouri State University’s (SEMO) Towers East on Friday.
United Way is a community-based organization that aims to help the health, education, and financial stability of others.
The rappelling event lasted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and featured local mascots including Rowdy the Redhawk from SEMO and the Tiger from Cape Central Junior High.
Over the Edge was a fundraiser to help people with financial struggles.
