2 friends complete Boston Marathon
BOSTON, Mass. (KBSI) – Doug and Willie completed the Boston Marathon. The two special friends were out to conquer one of the world’s most prestigious races.
The two started around 4:30 a.m. Monday, April 15 and ran most of the day. They were the 10th duo team out of 20 teams. They partner through My Team Triumph.
The organization pairs angels and captains.
Angels are everyday people who volunteer to participate in physical activities with captains who are adults with special abilities, giving them the opportunity to do things.
Like complete marathons, they completed the race in three hours, 49 minutes and 11 seconds.
