Assistant Police Chief for Mount Vernon named

MOUNT VERNON, IL (KBSI) – Travis Chapman was sworn in as the new Assistant Chief of Police on July 23. Chapman is a United States Coast Guard veteran, who served for the Las Vegas Police Department for two years.

He’s served in the following roles: patrolman, field training officer, corporal, sergeant, internal affairs officer, firearms instructor, and team commander.
