Child predator from Mount Vernon, IL officially sentenced

JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL (KBSI) – Darren Meyer of Mount Vernon, IL was sentenced to 30 years in state prison for aggravated criminal sexual abuse with a victim under 13 years old.

Meyer faces the maximum sentence allowed under the terms of a negotiated plea. He is also in jail for 10 counts of child pornography. Meyer is held at the Jefferson County Jail while he awaits a transfer to the Illinois Department of Correction.
