3 arrested on firearms charges in Lilbourn

NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – Three people face firearms or drug charges in New Madrid County.

After months of investigation, a New Madrid Police Officer assigned to the SEMO Drug Task Force secured federal indictments.

Michael Ryan Bush, 41, of Lilbourn faces a federal warrant for felon in possession of a firearm.

Thomas Phillips Jr., 54, of Lilbourn faces a federal warrant for methamphetamine distribution and drug user in possession of a firearm.

Bryan Nelson, 36, of Lilbourn faces a federal warrant for felon in possession of a firearm.

Officers with SEMO Drug Task Force, New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office and New Madrid Police Department found all three suspects and arrested them on September 3.

All three were taken to the Mississippi County Jail pending transfer to a federal holding facility.

Sheriff’s deputies say further indictments are expected.
