Old Town Cape Parade of Lights road restrictions

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – To ensure maximum safety for parade participants and attendees parking will be restricted during the Old Time Cape Parade of Lights on December 1, 2024.
The city of Cape Girardeau says certain parts of the city will have restricted access for the Parade of Lights scheduled for Sunday, December 01, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department says beginning at 12:00 p.m. on December 01, 2024, parking will be prohibited in all of Capaha Park, on both sides of Broadway from Northwest End Boulevard to Main Street; on Main Street from N. Park Drive to William Street; on Northwest End Boulevard from Broadway to Parkview Drive; Perry Avenue from Broadway to Parkview.
Signs and other traffic control devices will be posted at the above locations.
Vehicles parked after 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 01, 2024, will be towed from the street.
Parking will be restored on the city streets immediately following the parade with the exception of Bellevue.
