Paducah man in custody faces charges for trafficking fentanyl and more

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A man wanted for drug trafficking is now in custody.

According to the Paducah Police Department on December 27, 2024 at 8:48 am a man wanted for trafficking Fentanyl was arrested after he resisted arrest
and ran from an officer.

Cortez M. Hill, age 35, of Paducah, was arrested on two indictment warrants charging him with Trafficking Fentanyl, along with Resisting Arrest and Fleeing
or Evading Police 3rd Degree.

Paducah Police Officer Seth Farthing recognized Cortez M. Hill standing in an alley and knew Hill had multiple indictment warrants for Trafficking Fentanyl. When Officer Farthing attempted to arrest Hill, he says Hill resisted and, after a brief scuffle, fled on foot.

Hill was located and arrested a short time later after exiting a home in the 1000 block of Bronson Street.

Hill faces two indictment warrants charging him with Trafficking Fentanyl, along with Resisting Arrest and Fleeing or Evading Police 3rd Degree.

Hill was arrested and taken to McCracken County Jail.
