Missouri swears in 58th Governor, Mike Kehoe

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Mike Kehoe took the oath of office as Missouri’s 58th governor on Jan. 13, 2025, pledging to prioritize public safety, education, economic development and agriculture.

Kehoe’s commitment to public service and Missouri families stems from his upbringing as the youngest of six children raised by a single mother. He learned the value of hard work early, starting his career washing cars at 15 and eventually becoming one of the youngest Ford dealers in the nation.

Kehoe’s entrepreneurial success and leadership skills drew him to public service. He served on the Missouri Highway & Transportation Commission, improving the state’s infrastructure and elevating its road system. As a Missouri senator, he worked to balance budgets, fund schools and protect children and seniors.

As lieutenant governor, Kehoe promoted Missouri’s businesses, agriculture and tourism, advocating for veterans and seniors. A first-generation farmer, Kehoe owns and operates a 700-acre cattle farm with his wife, Claudia.

Kehoe’s priorities as governor reflect his dedication to Missourians: ensuring safe communities, advancing education, fostering economic growth and supporting agriculture
