Fire departments team up to contain large brush fire in Stoddard County

STODDARD COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Bell Fire Rescue responded to a large, out-of-control brush fire in the county at approximately 3:46 p.m. today.

Heavy smoke was visible from several miles away, prompting the department to request mutual aid from Advance Fire Department and Bloomfield Department of Public Safety.

Tanker support, brush truck support and additional manpower from the assisting departments helped bring the fire under control and render the scene safe.

Bell Fire Rescue thanked Advance Fire Department and Bloomfield Department of Public Safety for their assistance.
