Paducah seeks public input on community development plan

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The City of Paducah is hosting two community meetings to gather public input on the development of a five-year Consolidated Plan, a requirement for communities participating in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program.

The meetings will be held:

July 11, 11:30 a.m., McCracken County Public Library, 555 Washington St. (lunch will be served)

July 14, 5:30 p.m., City Hall, 300 South 5th St.

As an entitlement community, Paducah will receive annual CDBG grants for various activities, including housing rehabilitation, public facilities improvements, and business assistance.

The Consolidated Plan will serve as a framework for identifying community needs and priorities. After the public input period, the draft plan will be presented to the Paducah Board of Commissioners in August and then submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
