City Parks and Rec Day celebrates with community

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The city’s Parks and Recreation department hosted a free event to celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month.

The Parks and Rec Day event was held at the Osage Centre on July 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The kid-friendly event featured ice cream, prizes, crafts, games and activities from local vendors.

The event also coincides with Playmo’s birthday.
