Semi-truck crash causes power outage, road blockage in Creal Springs

CREAL SPRINGS, Ill., (KBSI) — A power outage and road blockage were reported in Creal Springs after a semi-truck crashed into utility poles, bringing down power lines and telephone poles.

The incident occurred on Illinois Route 166, between Lake of Egypt Road and the Creal Springs Mini Mart. The area is currently impassable, and authorities expect it to take hours to clear the roadway.

The public is advised to seek an alternative route. Deputies from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene.
