Five hospitalized after house fire on Varner street in Kennett

KENNETT, Mo., (KBSI) – Five people were hospitalized in serious condition Monday after a house fire in the 300 block of Varner Street, authorities said.
The Kennett Fire Department said crews arrived to find the residence fully engulfed in flames.
All five occupants were located outside the home and received medical treatment before being transported to out-of-state hospitals.
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Kennett Fire Department and the Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office.
