Mostly Sunny Skies Continue, Warmer on Sunday

Mostly clear skies across the Heartland on Saturday evening with temperatures in the 60s and 70s as we head towards midnight.
Tonight, low will fall to the middle and upper 50s with mostly clear skies. While we will be free of cloud cover, patchy fog will be possible after 8 a.m. until sunrise.
Sunday lives up to its name in Cape Girardeau with minimal cloud cover expected tomorrow. Temperatures continue to climb into the upper 80s, continuing a streak of above-average temperatures.
Highs tomorrow will be close to 10 degrees above average across the Heartland.
Making national headlines, the tropics are heating up with two current storms being monitored this weekend. Hurricane Humberto has reached category 5 status and is expected to drift into the Atlantic before making a pass near Bermuda early next week. Tropical Depression Nine is expected to become a named storm (Imelda) by Tuesday morning, bringing impacts for the southeast. Impacts from any remnants of this storm in our area is expected to be minimal.
Warmer temperatures will continue heading into October with highs in the middle and upper 80s. Mostly sunny skies continue to close out the weekend and throughout the upcoming work week.
