Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office launches new mobile app to keep community informed

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new mobile app, now available for free download in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Residents and visitors can download the app by visiting Download Our App | Cape Girardeau County MO Sheriff’s Office or by searching “Cape Girardeau MO Sheriff” in their device’s app store.

The app offers convenient access to key features including the inmate roster, sheriff’s messages, press releases, contact information, and a crime tip submission tool — all aimed at keeping the community informed and engaged.

Beginning Oct. 15, 2025, the sheriff’s office will discontinue website email and text notifications. Officials encourage residents to download the new app and enable push notifications to continue receiving important alerts and updates.
