Community Counseling Center delivers Veterans Day gift bags to Missouri Veterans Home

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Community Counseling Center’s Connection through Learning, Understanding, and Empathy (C.L.U.E.) Committee honored local veterans this week by hand-packing and delivering 130 Veterans Day gift bags to residents at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Each gift bag included a personalized handwritten thank-you card, a veteran-themed pen, and a small rubber military duck wearing a hat that read “Thank you!”

“It was such a meaningful project, and we were proud to honor our veterans in this way,” said Soni Lloyd, C.L.U.E. Committee chair.
