Old Town Cape, Inc. to host 33rd Annual Parade of Lights

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Old Town Cape, Inc. will host the 33rd Annual Parade of Lights on Sunday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m.

This year’s theme, “Charlie Brown Christmas,” was selected by parade chairs Kent and Vicki Zickfield, owners of Zickfield’s Jewelry & Gifts at 29 N. Main St. in downtown Cape Girardeau.

The parade will feature holiday-themed floats from businesses and organizations across the region, and Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected to appear near the end of the event. Participants are encouraged to decorate their entries with lights and include festive music.

Judges along the route will select winners for best theme, best business or organization appearance, best nonprofit appearance, best music, best lighting, best marching band and the chairman’s award.

The parade will start at Broadway and West End Boulevard, travel east on Broadway and turn right onto Main Street before ending in the parking lot across from Hutson’s Big Sandy Furniture.

Old Town Cape invites the community to attend the 2025 Parade of Lights.
