LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stalking case that led to the arrest of a Benton man.
Deputies said a woman contacted the sheriff’s office on Jan. 12 reporting she was being stalked by Jason Henson, 46, of Benton. Deputies responded and began an investigation.
Authorities determined Henson was in violation of an active Kentucky Emergency Protective Order/Domestic Violence Order, which prohibits him from contacting or communicating with the victim.
Based on the findings, investigators obtained a warrant charging Henson with first-degree stalking, violation of an EPO/DVO and harassing communications.
On Jan. 13, Henson was taken into custody by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, where he was also charged with methamphetamine-related offenses.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said reports of stalking and violations of protective orders are taken seriously. The investigation remains ongoing and is being handled by Deputy Zackary T. Dunigan.
