Pursley signs with Three Rivers Raiders

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI(KBSI) – From the Jackson Fighting Indians to the Three Rivers Raiders, a young basketball lover is showing others what you can accomplish through hard work and perseverance.
School officials with Three Rivers College have officially announced a new basketball manager will be stepping in to help guide the Raiders, both on and off the court.
Izaac Pursley will begin as the new Three Rivers basketball manager on July 14, 2026, after recently signing with the college to help manage the men’s basketball program.
Izzac says his love and passion for the game is unmatched.
“I love doing it. That’s why I don’t stop. I like teaching the kids every day, what’s going to come next and they’re going to learn a lot from a lot of people” says Pursley. “So, it’s going to be behind the scenes, every road game, on the road hours, water, film, anything you can think of in the basketball game.”
Pursley has a strong background in both sports’ leadership and basketball, spending four years with the Jackson Indians, and assisting with other local teams as well as team manager for the Charleston Fighting Squirrels’ baseball team. He says he owes a great deal of his success to his coaches, both in baseball and basketball, saying their support help get him where he is today.
“Just in my head six months ago, thinking about leaving the game of basketball and the coaches at Jackson pulling back me back and now having an offer to get through all this, all the positives that came together” says Pursley.
Pursley shares he’s both thankful and excited to take on his new role with the Raiders and he’s most looking forward to learning culturally and helping kids grow in the game.
