One injured in single-vehicle crash near Fancy Farm

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon near Fancy Farm, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 1:44 p.m. April 1 to the 5500 block of State Route 80 West.

Investigators said Elizabeth Ann Smithson, 81, of Mayfield, was driving westbound when her vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, struck a tree and came to rest partially in the roadway.

Smithson was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
