Storms Possible Tonight Through Thursday Afternoon
Severe Weather Potential:
An isolated severe storm or two will be possible throughout the day on Thursday. A Marginal Risk of severe weather is in place across the viewing area as stronger storms will be capable of quarter-sized hail and 60-mile-per-hour wind gusts.

Above is the latest run of StormCast, showing a line of showers and thunderstorms moving through the viewing area through the overnight hours. Another round of storms will be possible on Thursday afternoon. Now is a good time to review your severe weather plan and ensure you have multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts.
Forecast:
Low temperatures this tonight will be mild across the Heartland, with temperatures only dropping to the lower and middle 60s.
Storm chances are expected to increase in Cape Girardeau as we head through the early morning hours on Tuesday. A few storms will be possible as we head out the door for the morning commute.
Even with the chances for storms throughout the day, Thursday afternoon temperatures will try their best to reach the lower 80s.
We may get a few peaks of sushine throughout Thursday afternoon on our way to afternoon temperatures in the lower 80s for Cape.
Following Thursday’s storm chances, near-record high temperatures return for Friday. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible late Friday into Saturday. Relatively cooler and dry weather will follow a passing cold front into the start of next week.
