McCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) — A man was arrested Thursday following a drug trafficking investigation in McCracken County, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the investigation involved Austin Dailey, 35, after a cooperating witness arranged to purchase a small amount of methamphetamine.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Ted Williams Drive, where Dailey was found hiding beneath the home through a trap door, officials said. He was taken into custody on outstanding warrants without incident.
During a search, deputies said they found suspected methamphetamine on Dailey, along with drug paraphernalia inside the residence, including pipes.
Investigators said another individual at the home admitted to using methamphetamine and told deputies Dailey had provided both the drug and a pipe.
Dailey was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office or West Kentucky Crime Stoppers.
