Historic Big Boy steam locomotive rolls into Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The world’s largest operating steam locomotive made a stop in Missouri’s capital Monday morning.
According to the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Union Pacific’s Big Boy steam locomotive arrived in Jefferson City as part of its tour across the country.
The locomotive, one of the largest steam engines ever built, drew crowds of rail enthusiasts and visitors eager to see the historic train in person.
The Missouri Department of Public Safety encouraged residents to enjoy the visit while remembering to stay safe around railroad tracks and crossings.
