Show Me Showdown car show coming to Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Cars, trucks and motorcycles will fill the Show Me Center during the Show Me Showdown on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1-2.

The event will feature vehicle displays, vendors, a swap meet, Power Wheels races and several award categories. Admission is free, but parking fees may apply.

Saturday’s events will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Vehicle registration begins at 8 a.m., and the swap meet will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children’s and adult Power Wheels races will begin at 1 p.m.

The Liberty Belles are scheduled to appear from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Sunday’s events will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vehicle registration will be open from 8 a.m. to noon, with awards presented at 2 p.m.

Special guests include Mike Coy, Rick Bacon and Ashley Asylum. Awards will include Top 100 honors, special recognition awards and selections by Coy, Bacon and Visit Cape.
