Highland Church Road closed after tree downs power line in McCracken County

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — Highland Church Road has reopened after a large tree fell across the roadway Sunday and caused a power line to break in McCracken County.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the 1200 block of Highland Church Road. Deputies, the Lone Oak Fire Department and Paducah Power responded to the scene.

The fallen tree caused the power line to break, temporarily blocking the roadway while crews worked to clear the area and make repairs.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday afternoon that the roadway has reopened to traffic.
