Jackson firefighters sharpen emergency response skills during quarterly training

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — Members of Jackson Fire Rescue completed department-wide quarterly training Monday.

Firefighters participated in hands-on power tool training with demonstration equipment provided by Stihl. Crews also rotated through stations focused on standpipe operations and mechanical-advantage rope systems.

Department officials said the training helped firefighters develop and reinforce skills needed during emergency responses.

Jackson Fire Rescue thanked Stihl for providing the equipment and the department’s two deputy chiefs for leading the instruction.
