1 person, 2 dogs die in fire in Jackson

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – One person and two dogs died in a fire in Jackson Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters noticed smoke showing from a home in the 700 block of West Jefferson Street in Jackson on Saturday, Apri 6 around 1:13 p.m.
They found an unresponsive patient. Crews worked to get the patient out of the building.
Firefighters found two unresponsive dogs and got them out of the home.
Mutual aid from Cape City, Fruitland and Gordonville was brought to the scene. East County covered our Station 1 in Jackson.
Jackson Police, utilities, highway patrol and CCPA also responded to the scene.
The fire was ruled as accidential.
