2 face charges after homicide in Bollinger County

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a man was found with a gunshot wound in a vehicle at a Marble Hill business.

James Primer faces charges of murder – 1st degree and armed criminal action. His bond is set at $1 million cash only.

Angela Thompson faces charges of murder – 1st degree and armed criminal action. Her bond is set at $1 million cash only.

On Tuesday, July 19, about 9:22 p.m., the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a man with a gunshot wound.

Bollinger County Sheriff Casey Graham says a sheriff’s deputy found Devon Matlock, 31, of Farmington in a vehicle parked at a Marble Hill business. He was unresponsive and not breathing. The deputy administered first aid. The Bollinger County Ambulance Service arrived on scene a short time later and took him to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau where Matlock was declared dead.

Police determined the victim was shot at a home on State Highway JJ and was transported by a personal vehicle to the business in Marble Hill.

Deputies with the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office along with members from the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the home where the shooting occurred and arrested Primer and Thompson.
