2 arrested in Graves County after reports of minors under influence of drugs and/or alcohol

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A registered sex offender faces charges and another man face drug charges after Graves County Sheriff’s deputies received reports of minors being intoxicated or under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 5300 block of Ky 131 on the evening of Monday, April 24.
Deputies identified a man there as being 30 year old
Navin M. Murphy, 30, had previously been convicted of sexual abuse 2nd degree (victim was child 14 years old) and was not abiding by the terms of being a registered sex offender, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with sex offender registry.
Murphy was taken to an out of county jail facility.
Deputies obtained a search warrant to search the home for illegal drugs and other contraband. The search yielded a white powdery substance that was being snorted by people present, according to the sheriff’s office. The drug was identified as being a crushed anti-psychotic medication, open and unopened bottles of liquor, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Michael T. Cole, 18, of the home faces charges of possession of a 3rd degree controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful transaction with a minor 3rd degree.
