39 recruits begin training to become Missouri state troopers

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri State Highway Patrol has begun training its 126th Recruit Class, with 39 recruits entering the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy.

Patrol Superintendent Col. Michael A. Turner said the recruits signed final offers March 28 at General Headquarters in Jefferson City. Training began April 20 and is expected to conclude with graduation in October.

The recruits represent communities across Missouri, including Poplar Bluff, Kennett, St. Louis, Columbia and Jefferson City.

Officials said the Patrol continues to recruit for a variety of career paths and encourages applicants to apply through Missouri State Highway Patrol.
