4 arrested after 2 separate searches of Cape Girardeau homes find drugs

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Four people were arrested in two separate searches of homes in Cape Girardeau early Thursday morning.

Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department and the SEMO Drug Task Force executed two unrelated search warrants on January 19.

Officers responded to the 900 block of N. Sprigg around 5 a.m. to execute a search warrant on a home in reference to illegal narcotic activities.

During the search of the home, officers found suspected cocaine and prescription medication inside. One occupant of the home was taken into custody, pending formal charges.

Around 6:33 a.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of William Street to execute another search warrant on a home in reference to illegal narcotic activities.

During the search, officers found suspected methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, and a female with an active warrant for her arrest. Three people were taken into custody pending formal charges.

All suspects from both incidents were taken to the Cape Girardeau Police Department for booking procedures, pending formal charges.
