4 face drug charges after traffic stop in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Four people face drug charges after a traffic stop in McCracken County.
Warren T. Brown III, 36, of Paducah faces charges of no registration plates and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alc/drugs 1st offense.
Kelly M. Johnson, 31, of Grogan Circle in McCracken County faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding bench warrant for contempt of court.
James A. Mitchell, 30, of Calvert City faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Matthew J. Lawson, 38, of Marion, Ky. faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Lone Oak Road near I-24 for traffic infractions on Wednesday, January 17 just after 2 p.m.
Deputies determined that the driver of the vehicle, Warren Brown, was under the influence of illegal drugs.
The three passengers were also arrested for drug possession after a search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Johnson also had an outstanding McCracken County arrest warrant.
All four suspect were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
