5th Annual LemonDrop Long Drive event raises awareness and funds for cancer patients

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – The fifth annual LemonDrop Long Drive competition was held at The TeeHouse Complex in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on April 12, 2025.

The event featured two competitions: a fundraising competition among community leaders and a long drive competition open to the public.

The event, which took seven months to plan, was supported by 38 sponsors and raised over $27,000 for direct patient support.

The funds will provide care packages to local cancer patients and support educational programming to raise awareness about testicular cancer and early detection.

The furthest drive of the day was 369 yards. The event’s success will help The LemonDrop Foundation support local cancer patients and promote awareness about men’s health issues.
