Advance school safe room opening ahead of severe weather

ADVANCE, Mo. (KBSI) — A safe room will be opened Sunday in Advance ahead of expected severe weather in the region.

Officials with the Advance R-IV School District said the FEMA safe room will open at 11 a.m. for residents seeking shelter.

The entrance to the shelter will be the first door on the left facing School Street.

School officials encourage residents to use the safe room if conditions become dangerous and to continue monitoring weather updates throughout the day.
