ATF, NYPD, Kentucky State Police execute search warrant in Smithland, Ky.

SMITHLAND, Ky., (KBSI) – A large-scale search warrant is being executed at a mansion in Smithland, Kentucky, as part of an ongoing violent crime investigation.

The ATF Louisville, New York Police Department and Kentucky State Police are involved in the operation, according to a statement from ATF Louisville.

The statement confirmed that two court-authorized warrants were served, with Kentucky State Police providing tactical assistance.

Several streets in the small community are blocked off. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were released.

Smithland is located along the Ohio River, across from Pope County, Illinois.
