PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Baptist Health Paducah has received national recognition for its treatment of heart attack patients.

The hospital received the American College of Cardiology’s 2026 NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award. Baptist Health Paducah is one of 350 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.

The award recognizes hospitals that consistently follow clinical guidelines and meet performance standards for the treatment of heart attack patients.

Baptist Health Paducah demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain – MI Registry for two consecutive years, 2024 and 2025, while performing at the highest level on specific measures used to evaluate patient care.

“When presenting with a heart attack and/or chest pain, time and quality matter in the outcome,” said Craig Beavers, vice president of operations at Baptist Health Paducah. “This award recognizes the hard work, program structure and metric-driven approach our care team and facility has adhered to assure the best care for our patients and community.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 800,000 Americans experience a heart attack each year.

The Chest Pain – MI Registry is designed to help health care providers follow current, science-based guidelines and improve the quality, safety and outcomes of care for heart attack patients.
