Benton, KY man facing numerous drug charges after traffic stop

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Benton, Ky. man faces drug charges after a traffic stop late Friday night.

Graves County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Crane stopped on a vehicle on US 45 North on March 1 around 11:45 p.m.

Justin Seaford of Benton was the driver of the vehicle, according to Graves County Sheriff’s deputies.

Deputy Crane searched the vehicle and found a cigar package containing approximately 22 Buprenorphine (Suboxone) pills, a small amount of cocaine with assorted paraphernalia and a small baggie of marijuana.

Deputy Ben Doran and an officer from the Mayfield Police Department assisted Deputy Crane.

Justin A. Seaford of Benton Ky. faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd degree greater than 20 dose units (Buprenorphine) 1st offense, drug paraphernalia buy/possess, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) 1st degree 1st offense, possession of marijuana and traffic offenses.

Seaford is on a diversion out of Marshall County Circuit Court for trafficking buprenorphine (Suboxone) in 2019.

He was taken to the Graves County RC Center where he will be moved to an out of county facility by Graves County Jail staff.
