BG’s Deli to close after 45 years in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — BG’s Deli, a staple in the community for 45 years, will close its doors on Aug. 22.

The decision comes amid growing financial and operational challenges. The restaurant’s lease is set to expire in September, and ownership has chosen not to renew it.

“This was not an easy decision,” a spokesperson said. “We’re grateful to our loyal customers, staff and everyone who supported us.”

The restaurant will remain open until Aug. 22, allowing customers to visit one last time. It is currently for sale and offers will be accepted until the closing date.
