Bicyclist hospitalized after crash on Paducah roadway, police investigating

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah Police Department is investigating a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded at 1:02 p.m. Feb. 10 to the 2700 block of Bridge Street. Police said a 2016 Toyota Prius driven by Emmet Tetreault, 31, of Paducah, was traveling eastbound on Bridge Street and turned onto Clarks Ferry Road, entering the path of a bicycle operated by Mitchell McClain, 49, of Paducah.

The two collided, and McClain was transported to an out-of-state hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to police.

The Paducah Police Department Collision Reconstruction Team and detectives are continuing to investigate. The roadway was closed for approximately two hours.
