Big Bend Road closure impacts Cape Girardeau school bus routes

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A section of Big Bend Road is closed due to unspecified reasons, affecting several school bus routes.

The closure, from Lexington to E. Cape Rock Drive, impacts buses serving Cape Central High School, Terry W. Kitchen Central Junior High, Cape Central Middle School and Blanchard Elementary.

Parents of affected students are advised to make alternate arrangements for transportation.

Motorists are also cautioned to be aware of downed trees in other areas of town and to exercise caution while traveling.
