Capaha Park open for baseball as construction on park continues

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – As construction continues throughout Capaha Park this spring, baseball fans will be able to continue supporting their favorite local teams.

Doug Gannon, director for Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation, says Cherry Hill will remain open.

The road and parking on the hill will be accessible and people will be able to set up lawn chairs to watch the games.

Portable restrooms also will be placed in the area to accommodate fans throughout the fall.

Currently, park renovations are estimated to be completed around the end of April.
