Cape Girardeau appoints Bridgett Kielhofner as Assistant Finance Director

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – The City of Cape Girardeau has announced the appointment of Bridgett Kielhofner as Assistant Finance Director, effective April 7, 2025. Kielhofner will support Finance Director Lisa Mills and the Finance Department in various capacities.

Kielhofner’s Background and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Southeast Missouri State University (1998).
Professional Memberships: Member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the National Association of Realtors.
Real Estate Experience: Licensed Real Estate Broker with experience in financial management and planning ¹ ².

Kielhofner’s Role and Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Budgeting: Kielhofner will apply her skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and leadership to support the city’s continued success.
Collaboration with City Leadership: She looks forward to working alongside city leadership and staff to serve the community.

City Manager Kenneth Haskin emphasized the city’s conservative approach to budgeting and praised Kielhofner’s diverse experience in the private sector and real estate background.
