Cape Girardeau Firefighters, City to resume contract talks

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The City of Cape Girardeau has agreed to return to the negotiating table with the Cape Girardeau Professional Firefighters union after a 1015-day impasse.

The union announced the development on social media, expressing appreciation for community support throughout the process.

The firefighters aim to negotiate a fair collective bargaining agreement prioritizing public safety.
