Cape Girardeau firefighters put out house fire

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Firefighters put out a fire Thursday morning in Cape Girardeau.

Cape Girardeau firefighters got a call at 4:11 a.m. on November 9 for a fire at 317 S. Louisiana.

Firefighters could see moderate smoke and fire coming from the second floor window.

A second floor tenant told firefighters that everyone was our ot the home and that the fire was in his bedroom in the second floor.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within about 10 minutes.

The second floor had extensive fire and smoke damage worth about $70,000.
