Cape Girardeau man accused of attacking someone with box cutter style knife

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A Cape Girardeau man faces assault and other charges after police say he attacked someone with a box cutter style knife.

Christopher Wilson, 63, of Cape Girardeau faces charges of Class A felony of assault 1st degree, felony armed criminal action and Class D felony of delivering or concealing prohibited articles on premises.

Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the 900 block of Themis for a disturbance around 10:06 a.m. on Sunday, August 11.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with Wilson.

Officers say Wilson allegedly attacked the victim with a box cutter style knife. The victim had several lacerations from the knife and refused medical treatment on the scene.

Officers took Wilson to the Cape Girardeau Police Department. During the booking process, officers say they found a small baggie of suspected narcotics in Wilson’s possession that later field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

Wilson was being held on a $75,000 cash only bond.
