Cape Girardeau man charged in 2019 shooting death of teen

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A Cape Girardeau man faces murder and other charges in the 2019 shooting death of a teenager.

Isaiah M. Lane, 32, of Cape Girardeau is charged with murder in the second degree (felony murder, unlawful use of a weapon resulting in death, assault in the first degree and unlawful use of a weapon resulting in injury.

Madison Robinson, 15, was shot on August 24, 2019. She died from her injuries.

The case has been investigated by the Major Case Squad since 2019. The Major Case Squad consists of a cooperative effort between the Cape Girardeau Police Department, Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson Police Department, SEMO Department of Public Safety, Bollinger County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Lane’s bond is set at $5.13 million cash only.
