Cape Girardeau man charged with unlawful use of a weapon

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A Cape Girardeau man was arrested and faces a charge of unlawful use of a weapon after police responded to a call of shots fired late Thursday night.
Antwan Petty, 26, faces a charge of Class E felony of unlawful use of a weapon.
Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the 1100 block of South Ellis Street in reference to shots fired around 11 p.m. on March 23.
Officers arrived on scene and found evidence and Petty.
Officers say they determined Petty fired a weapon in the area, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
Officers also found and recovered a firearm that was allegedly used.
Petty is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
