Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation holds 19th Annual Spaghetti Day
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Thursday, November 9 was the 19th Annual Spaghetti Day at the AC Brase Arena Building in Cape Girardeau.
The event is hosted by the Parks and Recreation Foundation. They expected to serve around 3,000 people.
Scott Williams is the recreation division manager. He says that Spaghetti Day is the biggest fundraiser they do every year.
“Our parks and recreation staff and our board members prepare the food, and our board members serve it the day of,” said Williams. “It’s a three-day process.”
He says the event generates anywhere between $35,000-40,000.
