Cape Girardeau Police Department honored with flag from 1140th Engineer Battalion

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau Police Department received a special honor today – a flag from the Task Force Essayons 1140th Engineer Battalion. This flag holds great significance as it was flown over the 1140th Engineer Battalion Headquarters at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, on September 11, 2024.
The gesture recognizes the department’s dedication and service, and it’s a testament to the strong ties between the police department and the U.S. Military.
It’s worth noting that the 1140th Engineer Battalion has a rich history of service, including supporting the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and participating in humanitarian missions in Honduras.
Their motto, “Often Tested, Never Bested,” reflects their commitment to excellence.
