Cape Riverfront Market allows vendors to sell locally
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Old Town Cape is celebrating its 25th birthday.
The historic event has festivities for the whole family including live music.
“It’s everything to be able to sell local flowers. We pride ourselves on growing and sourcing locally so just to be able to get it out into the communities that we live and serve is really important to us,” said Stephanie Hefner, a flower vendor at the Cape Riverfront Market. “I think it’s great connecting with the community. I think it’s great meeting new people, and it’s a way that we can share a passion of our love.”
Sandy Bottom Farm Produce attends the market each year since 2017.
“It’s a great market here a lot of fun people Saturday mornings always a lot of activity here, It’s a good place to sell,” said Lawrence Hayes with Sandy Bottom Farm Produce. “I think it’s special for all of cape especially downtown but you look at the crowd there’s always a big line at the doughnut shop and people walking there dogs and pushing strollers.”
The market opens each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon on Spanish Street.
